Dear Tristy: there's a point in your study that you feel confident---that is, you feel in your heart that you are prepared for ANY question the test can throw at you and still answer it correct. And more, you are confident that you will also be fortunate enough to be asked the questions you know and NOT asked the questions you don't know. It's over! Congratulate yourself on preparing and take some time to mentally evaluate your performance. If you think you had a bad section, it's not the end of the world!
Use the Math or English individual tests to strengthen those areas, in
case you need to re-test in those subjects. Remember: you are not a failure if you gave your best effort and scored a few points below passing. Those efforts give you a head start on the July test.

Good luck to every student this upcoming Monday. Spend the weekend reviewing what your weaker points are and taking specialized tests to brush up on those areas. Have a relaxing Saturday, rest well and eat well on Sunday, and wake up refreshed on Monday for the test. Most of all, eat a good breakfast Monday morning to give your brain some fuel to function during an all-day test. Again, Good Luck, God Bless, stay confident.

Mr. Hammond: The test doesn't determine your future, your English and Math skills do. The test just measures what you know or don't know in those areas. Take the basic test in your grade and note the subjects you got the most questions wrong. then move to the "Focused Skills" lessons to repair those areas you are weak in. You can do it.

I am doing my upmost to achieve what is required of me and to pass this test. I am having diffulty in that area and I truly wish this test did not have to determine my life or future. Thanks for the kind comments. This site exists for one purpose: to help kids learn the skills necessary to pass the LEAP, as well as any other similar test evaluating critical thinking skills. Learning is like riding a bicycle---once you can do it, you can't UN-do it. The skills you master here are permanent additions to your life in school, and the 70 years of learning after that.
